Conducting Masterclass with Dr. Timothy Shantz
Saturday, October 4, 2025, 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm

The workshop is open to ALL conductors - you do not have to be a member of SCF to attend.​

The SCF is pleased to host a workshop designed for choir directors of all experience levels with Dr. Timothy Shantz on Saturday, October 4th, 1:30 to 3:00 pm at the University of Regina, Riddell Centre, Room 176. Register early to be one of up to five conductors to receive instruction from Dr. Shantz. Conductors registering will receive a copy of the selected reportoire of their choice ahead of time. Repertore options are Sing, my Child by Sarah Quartel OR Sure On This Shining Night by Morten Lauridsen.


Participants / Auditors are invited to be a part of the audience, gaining valuable insight from the experience overall.

Registration costs are listed below based on your selected participation option.

Conductor - Individual SCF Member - $44.40 (includes GST & PST)
Participant / Auditor - Individual Non-Member - $27.75 (includes GST & PST)

For those wishing to conduct, we will be accepting the first five PAID registrations to secure your spot.

Dr. Shantz is the Founder and Artistic Director of Luminous Voices in Calgary and serves as Director of Choral Activities at the University of Alberta. He is widely active as a conductor, collaborator, tenor soloist, and teacher.
SCF's work and support reaches lands covered by Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, & 10, traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota, Saulteaux, and the homeland of the Métis.
