Music Library

ACCESSING THE MUSIC LIBRARY

SCF Statement on Responsible Choral Lending
The Canadian choral community—including choirs, conductors, composers, publishers, and Provincial Choral Organizations (PCOs)—plays a vital role in fostering a culture of appreciation and support for all choral artists. This includes ensuring that access to choral music is provided in a responsible and ethical manner.

SCF is committed to the principles outlined in the Guidelines for the Responsible Management of Choral Libraries, developed by the Canadian PCOs in 2024. We uphold ethical lending practices that respect composers, arrangers, lyricists, and publishers while ensuring choirs have access to diverse repertoire. We encourage all borrowers to comply with copyright laws and to support the continued creation of choral music through the purchase of choral music as their means allow.

Please note that the SCF Music Library is a lending library and scores  are not for sale or available in a PDF format.   We DO NOT lend music/materials outside of Canada.   For additional information on borrowing music from the library please go to Borrowing Procedures and Fees below.
