Choral Music

SCF online choral database

The SCF Music Library has over 6300 choral titles with 10 or more copies available for member choirs to borrow.   There are also over 10,000 single copies available for research only.    The choral database is now online!  It can be found by following the link.

BORROWING PROCEDURES AND FEES
To borrow choral music from the library you must be a member choir or individual member of the Saskatchewan Choral Federation.   For choral scores, orders can be placed directly through the new online library page at make-music-happen.   For out of province borrowers, until further notice, shipping and handling fees will be calculated at the time of preparing the music for shipping and will be sent under separate invoice.

Library fees for borrowing choral scores are:
  • 1-10 pages - $0.25 / score
  • 11-20 pages - $0.50 / score
  • 21-50 pages - $1.00 / score
  • 50+ pages - $2.00/score

PERUSING SCORES
The library is located at the SCF Music Centre in Regina.  Scores are available for perusal by Saskatchewan Choral Federation members during SCF office hours.  And we have a piano available for your use!  For members from outside of Regina, arrangements can be made to receive single copies of up to 20 titles for perusal for a one month period.  Please contact us for information on how you can access these copies.

Instrumental
Music

Thanks to generous donations from Yvonne Redant, Cornerstone Christian School in Moose Jaw, Regina's Bandits, the Regina Separate School Division, the Saskatchewan Music Educators Association and the Regina Community Orchestra, we also have a collection of more than 1,500+ band titles and 250 orchestral scores available for loan.
Access to these music library resources is a perk of a choir membership with SCF.  The cost of borrowing scores for SCF members is $15 / score (shipping included).   Saskatchewan Band Association (SBA) members have access to the band library through a partnership with SCF.  The cost of borrowing for SBA members is $15 / score (shipping included). Please contact us at information@saskchoral.ca to find out how.
Other ensembles (bands, orchestras) may purchase a Library Pass for $50 per year for access to the instrumental music library.   The cost of borrowing band/orchestral scores is $25 / score (shipping included).
Please submit your requests via email to information@saskchoral.ca and allow a minimum of 3 business days for your order to be pulled and prepared.
