Pro Musica Award

One Pro Musica Award is presented annually in recognition of exemplary service to choral music in Saskatchewan. If you know of an individual or group who has made a significant contribution to choral music in Saskatchewan, please nominate them for the Pro Musica Award. Nominators must be either a member choir or an individual member in good standing with the Saskatchewan Choral Federation.

Nominations will be accepted from SCF Members in good standing and must include the following:
Nomination Deadline
The nomination deadline is annually on August 31st.
Selection Process
The Recognition Committee (a sub-committee of the Nominations Committee of the SCF Board of Directors) will select the award recipients from the list of candidates nominated each year.
Notification
The SCF will notify the successful award recipient and all nominators of the status of their nominee in October.
Awards Presentation
Awards are announced at the Annual General Meeting held each fall. Presentation of the award will be arranged with the recipient to be held at a concert or event in their home community (wherever possible) to allow family and friends to join in celebrating and honouring the recipient.
Additional Information
The Saskatchewan Choral Federation will present a maximum of one award in this category in any given year.

- Any individual or group widely recognized by their peers as having made a long-term, significant contribution to any aspect of choral music in Saskatchewan may be nominated for this award.
- Nominees may presently reside inside or outside of Saskatchewan.
- Can be awarded posthumously.
Submission Guidelines
Nominations will be accepted from SCF Members in good standing and must include the following:
- A completed nomination form.
- A brief biography of the nominee (no more than 1 page). This can form part of the online nomination form. The biography should include education, musical background (including singing or choral conducting), affiliation with agencies or groups, noteworthy achievements, hobbies and interests.
- A description of the reasons why you feel this person deserves to be recognized (no more than 3 pages). A brief description forms part of the online nomination form.
- One letter of support (from a person other than the nominator) confirming the significance of the nominee's contributions to choral music in their community.
