Choir Camps - July & August

Choral Concert Series

The Choral Concert Series supports the Choral Federation's mandate to promote and assist in the enhancement of choral music in Saskatchewan by developing a larger and better-informed public and fostering ever-higher standards of artistry among choral conductors and singers.  See who's coming next >>

Optimist ChorFest Saskatchewan

Be part of SCF's festivals of choral music (South and North) for all ages and genres of group singing.  Each festival focuses on ensemble growth and development through performance and workshops with accomplished choral clinicians.  Find out more here >>

DreamBroker Summer Music Camp

The Dream Broker Summer Music Camp is an initiative by the Saskatchewan Music Alliance in collaboration with the Dream Brokers program whose goal is to provide the opportunity to students grade 4 to grade 8 to experience music and its positive influence, who may not be able to do so otherwise.  Find out more here >>

 

Grant Programs - Year-round

Member choirs are eligible to apply to funding under the SCF's grant programs.  Intake dates for applications are September 1 for programming from September to January and January 1 for programming from February to September.  Find out more here >>

Library Services - Open Daily!

The SCF Music Library has an extensive library of choral, band and orchestral music.  In addition, we can source music from our provincial music federation colleagues across Canada.  A music cost-share program is also available to enhance existing library resources.  More information here >>

 

Mentorship Program

The Choral Director Mentor Project provides a unique opportunity to develop professional skills and opportunities for emerging choral directors through mentoring by qualified experienced choral directors.  Find out more here >>

Music For The Sole

Music ForThe Sole is an innovative fundraiser designed to benefit choirs and celebrate music in Saskatchewan.  Participants collect pledges on behalf of their choir to support their involvement in their choice of a 5KM walk or run.

Music Mosaic

Music Mosaic is a unique musical experience highlighting and celebrating Saskatchewan’s rich cultural diversity.  It occurs in conjunction with Culture Days celebrations across Canada.  Find out more here >>

 

National Youth Choir

Every two years, Canada's best young singers audition every two years to sing with the National Youth Choir (NYC).  Up to 4 singers chosen from each province and territory to sing with NYC and after a week-long rehearsal camp, the NYC embarks on a regional tour.  Find out more here >>

 

Open Road Tour

Tour the province singing with new friends and old!  Song of the Open Road is a five-day guided cultural tour of Saskatchewan.  As part of the tour, you will rehearse and perform a short program with an award-winning conductor!  Find out more here >>

 

Recognition Program

The Saskatchewan Choral Federation recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the choral communities in the province with awards for exemplary service (Pro Musica), long service (Golden Note), choral community support (Community Service) and school support (Administrator's Award).  Nominate a deserving recipient >>

 

Saskatchewan Music Conference

The Saskatchewan Music Conference is an initiative of the Saskatchewan Music Alliance and is an exciting annual event that brings the province’s music community together to network and develop their skills.  The Choral Federation offers reading sessions, the delegate choir, and a variety of sessions from top clinicians.  Find out more here >>

 

Saskatchewan Youth Choir

Saskatchewan Youth Choir is an exciting new opportunity for talented young Saskatchewan singers ages 16 - 21 to sing together under the direction of a renowned Canadian choral conductor.  Find out more here >>

Sing With Your Community Advocacy Initiative

Share some choral love during Choral Week with a choral-a-gram in the Sing With Your Community contest.  Share a video of your choir singing in your community (conditions apply) and you could win new music for your choir to perform next year!
