Currently, we are small but still mighty. We do mostly four-part harmony, usually performing a full concert at Christmas and Easter. Last spring we were included with the SSO and mass choir singing Beethoven's Symphony No 5! Clayton is both caring and challenging, making the choir the best it can be while still having fun. Many people say it’s their favourite activity of the week. Rehearsals are Wednesday, 8:00 - 10:00 pm.

We have strong music leaders in each voice; many in choir do not read music. People gather because they love to sing and enjoy being uplifted by singing. Rehearsals are on Tuesday at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Christopher Lake. We use Christopher Lake and Area Community Board to communicate to the area.

Moose jaw community choir

We have a non-auditioned community choir with male and female voices singing 4 part harmony. Our mission is have fun making music together with the hope that it will give joy to the singers and entertainment for those who hear it. We sing every year at the Rotary Christmas Carol Festival and at various senior facilities and local venues at Christmas. We also present an annual spring concert in early May.

​The Prince Albert Concert Choir was established in 2012 with a desire to provide Prince Albert and area with a Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass adult choir where individuals could be exposed to a range of high quality choral works and directing that would challenge our abilities.
We strive to collect and perform an eclectic selection of choral music including but not limited to secular, sacred, Indigenous, Canadian, multilingual, folk, gospel and more.

Founded in 2011, the Yorkton Community Choir currently enjoys a membership of approximately fifty singers from Yorkton and surrounding area. The non-auditioned SATB choir rehearses Monday evenings at the Yorkton Regional High School Choir Room. Our repertoire is widely varied including traditional choral repertoire, jazz, folksongs, spirituals and pop.

IN REGINA

AblazE VOCAL ARTS ENSEMBLE AND IGNITE CHAMBER CHOIR

Ablaze Vocal Arts Ensemble is a non-auditioned community-based group that rehearses once a week in Regina, SK. Since Ablaze VAE is a community ensemble, there is a heavy emphasis on learning musicianship skills within the context of the choral rehearsal. The pace of Ablaze VAE is a little more relaxed than that of Ignite Chamber Choir; is suitable for singers of all experience and ability levels. While the ability to read music is an advantage, music literacy skills are not required to participate in Ablaze VAE. 

Ignite Chamber Choir is the auditioned division of Ablaze VAE, consisting of between 24 and 40 singers. They rehearse once a week in Regina, SK. Ignite CC is for experienced singers seeking opportunities to sing challenging repertoire in a smaller group setting. Ignite Chamber Choir is under the umbrella of Ablaze Vocal Arts Ensemble; all singers in Ignite CC are strongly encouraged but not required to sing with Ablaze VAE. All singers who complete an audition for Ignite CC will be offered a position in the non-auditioned community ensemble Ablaze VAE regardless of their standing with Ignite CC. The ability to read music is a necessary skill to participate in Ignite CC.

Cantate Youth Choirs is an exciting choral program open to young people who love to sing a wide variety of choral music of many styles. The program involves two divisions – Apprentice 9 Grades 1 – 7) and Senior (Grades 6 – 12). The Regina Ladies Choir is an all-female community choir that sings in three parts (Soprano, Mezzo Soprano, Alto). The Choir's season begins in September and ends in May. September is the month when potential members can be part of the practices to check out the format of practices and the music that has been selected for the season. Membership fees are due the last Monday in September. The genre of music performed by the Choir is broad and diverse; including, classical pieces, jazz, selections from Broadway musicals, folk, gospel pieces, and pop. Practices are weekly and take place on Mondays from 7:15 pm - 9:15 pm at Christ Lutheran Church (4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina). The Choir's annual concert performance and fundraiser occurs in May. [The Regina Ladies Choir was established in 1932.]

regina philharmonic chorus

Since its inception in 1972, the Regina Philharmonic Chorus (RPC) has grown to become one of the outstanding community choruses in Canada. We are excited to be celebrating our 53rd season. RPC’s repertoire ranges from Renaissance to contemporary, and singers are often accompanied by members of the Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO). Popular performances have included Bach’s Magnificat, Verdi’s Requiem, Jenkins’ The Armed Man and Carr’s Requiem for an Angel. The RPC promotes choral music in our community through activities which include local youth choirs and soloists joining our concerts. The RPC supports the community by presenting benefit concerts for local charities and concerts to residents of long-term care facilities through the Concerts in Care program. Through our Healing Power of Music program, we provide complimentary concert tickets to individuals facing challenging health issues.

​The choir is a volunteer adult choir of approximately 15-20 people. They rehearse Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00, from September to mid-June, and sing the 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday mornings during those months. The traditional 'Festival of Lessons and Carols' is presented every Advent, now sung on a Sunday morning instead of Evensong, which has proven to be very popular.
The choir often participates in community events, such as competing in the Regina Music Festival choral competitions, singing in the Knights of Columbus Carol Festival, or presenting a Christmas concert. These help to raise the profile of St. Paul’s in the wider community.

 ​Founded in 2014, Wascana Voices is a self-directed group of dedicated singers who are focused on crafting exceptional music and creating a fun and engaging experience for members and our audience. We are conductors, performers, and musicians drawing experience from the most celebrated choirs in Saskatchewan. We are inspired by groups such as the King’s Singers, Musica intima, and Voces8. Typically comprising up to thirteen members, Wascana Voices performs a winter and spring concert and has also appeared at local events, such as the Cathedral Village Arts Festival and the Government House Victorian Christmas. The ensemble is open to new members by notice only.

Bethany Chorus is a community choir primarily comprised of residents and friends of Bethany Manor, a Mennonite-owned retirement and assisted living facility for 55+. The choir is non-auditioned, sings SATB, and performs 2 Christmas and 2 spring concerts per year. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 1:30 - 3:00 pm at Bethany Manor, Saskatoon.

The Cecilian Singers is a community choir, based in Saskatoon. We are NOT an auditioned choir; but you do have to be able to read some music. Rather we are a community of people who love to sing. And do we ever sing! We sing everything from ancient Latin chants, classical choral works, folk music to show tunes and “Putting on the Ritz”! We perform two concerts per season, one at Christmas and another in the Spring. Rehearsals are Wednesday, 7:00 - 9:00 pm from September through April at Grosvenor Park United Church, 407 Cumberland Avenue S., Saskatoon.

Lastiwka’s mission is to promote the rich history of Ukrainian culture through various singing styles, instrumentation, and costumes from multiple unique regions of Ukraine. Lastiwka is one of the most esteemed Ukrainian choirs of its kind in Canada, dedicated to authentically representing the Ukrainian folk style. North Sky Chorale is a mixed voice Chamber Choir based in and around Saskatoon, SK. The choir is formed by invitation followed by a brief and intense rehearsal schedule, usually jut two weeks before planned performances. Like the panoramic living skies in Saskatchewan, the choir presents music wide in scope and colour. Pieces that feature or reflect the characteristics of light are favourites.

The Saskatoon Chamber Singers is an auditioned, mixed-voice choir ranging between 28 and 35 singers. We are passionate about performing modern Canadian and international compositions while sustaining and reviving music from the classics. Directed by James Hawn, we present four concerts a year at Knox United Church, one of Saskatoon's finest acoustic spaces for choral music. The Chamber Singers' concert season includes a Remembrance Day concert (an annual fixture on the Saskatoon choral calendar for twenty years), a Christmas concert, and two winter and spring concerts of varying themes.
