Music For The Sole
SCF vs Choral Canada National Challenge - Regina, June 13, 2015
What is Music For The Sole?
Music For The Sole is an innovative fundraiser designed to benefit choirs and celebrate music in Saskatchewan. Participants will collect pledges to support their involvement in a 5 km walk, or a 5 or 10 km run. Funds raised by participating choir members will directly benefit their choirs. At the end of the event all participants will gather for the Music for the Sole reception to relax and listen to great music!
How It Works
When registering, participants will indicate an affiliate choir/choral organization. SCF Member choirs will receive up to 60% percent of the sponsorships they collect to support their programming. Non-member choirs will receive up to 40% of the sponsorships they collect for their choir. The remainder will be used to support Saskatchewan Choral Federation programs and services including summer camps for disadvantaged youth, the SCF Choral Library, award programs, mentorships, educational programming, and outreach activities like the Saskatchewan Choral Concert series that annually provides hundreds of youth access to work and sing with some of the biggest names in the choral world.
Pledges are collected online. Each participant will receive their own page on the Running Room website through which pledges can be collected. For your convenience, a Request For Sponsorship message to send to your friends, relatives and acquaintances is available. All pledges will be made online.
You are invited to take part as a runner or walker in Music for the Sole. There are also a host of volunteer opportunities! If you are interested in supporting Music for the Sole in a volunteer capacity, you can register online as a volunteer or contact the Saskatchewan Choral Federation (306-780-9230 or 1-877-524-6725).
