Scholarships
The Saskatchewan Choral Federation is developing a scholarship program to recognize and encourage individuals developing choral skills. The first scholarship being offered is the Nova Voce Scholarship.
Nova Voce Scholarship
The Nova Voce Scholarship recognizes an individual in the early stages of choral conducting development who has the potential to make a significant contribution to choral music throughout the life of their career.
The scholarship consists of a six-month mentorship with an accomplished choral conductor and a cash award of $250. One award is presented annually to a member of the Saskatchewan Choral Federation who is under the age of 30 (as of November 1st). The Award is presented at the Gala Banquet and Awards Ceremony at the Saskatchewan Music Conference held in November each year.
To apply, an applicant must complete a Nova Voce Scholarship Application form and submit it along with a covering letter outlining their accomplishments to date and future choral conducting plans, a brief biography and one letter of support from an unrelated third party who is in a position to confirm the significance of their accomplishments to date.
